All rituals integrate movement, art making, inquiry and prayerful offering to the cosmos and earth.

Expressive Arts Rituals for Spring 2021: Imbolc, Equinox, and New Moons Rituals in Community, Creativity, and Contemplative Nourishment
(Sign up below) Imbolc; Tuesday, February 2nd 5-7 pm Mountain Time. Connect with yourself, each other, and our greater earth through movement based expressive art ritual crafted in alignment with celestial timings. Imbolc marks the midpoint between winter solstice and spring equinox---a time still in the depths of winter when we begin to look toward spring. By February 2nd, the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter AND Saturn will all be dancing through Aquarius, a sign associated with broad visions for the future and collective goals. It is not a time to leap into action, but rather a time to get eagle-eye clarity on our vision and be sure to tend our seeds with the nourishment they need to emerge in the spring. Is anyone else feeling it? The giant YESSS and wave of relief to have a 46th president (for those of us here in the States....), along with the clear knowledge that there is more work (and joy, and awakening, and loving, and learning…) to do… For me these waves emerge alongside a real *thawing and release* of some of the shock and bracing of the past four years. Aquarian energy can be a huge boon to us now, offering a wide perspective and allowing this winter thaw to progress in its own time---with a sharp eye toward the future. Imbolc is a time to celebrate and tend the light in our hearts and homes, as we gain clarity and continue through the rest of winter. In this ritual, you’ll be guided through movement explorations to discover and tend your inner light. We’ll take time to celebrate, enjoy and cultivate this flame, and illuminate any visions and seeds you are carrying through to the spring. There will be space to thaw your winter chill, make images from your dreams, join in community, and offer these prayers collectively to our greater Earth. You’ll need your body, some space to move, a journal, and preferably some art materials. I’m a big fan of pastels, but you could use crayons or colored pencils as well.
